Department of the Air Force Acquisition Biennial Report, designed by A+S Ideas Studio

Arlington, VA –04-15-2021 — A+S IDEAS STUDIO, Inc., a Miami-based, Hispanic full scope digital advertising and branding agency, is honored to announce that it has successfully completed the design of the U.S. Department of the Air Force 2019-2020 Acquisition Biennial Report, a 120-page high quality print and digital publication, as part of its GSA Schedule.

The biennial report emphasizes “how the Department is embracing digital acquisition to field systems faster and smarter.” In its announcement of the report’s publication, the Department of the Air Force further states: “The report reviews the overall management of more than 60 of the largest acquisition programs. It offers another level of transparency between the Department and taxpayers, offering insights into aggregated and individual programs compared against established baselines that show how the Department balances program cost, schedule and performance to meet warfighter needs and optimize taxpayers’ dollars.” Furthermore, “the report also focuses heavily on how the Department of the Air Force acquisition made strides in speed and agility using advances in digital acquisition and commercial ventures that are changing weapon system procurement today.”

Underscoring the report’s significance, Darlene Costello, acting assistant secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics, is quoted in the Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs news announcement stating:

“As stewards of our nation’s resources, it is important that we share insights into our acquisition performance (…) Our outstanding Air Force and Space Force acquisition teams continued to deliver capability to the warfighter through adversity and unforeseen pandemic conditions without hesitation or delay. It’s a testament to our cutting edge talent.”

The report’s newsworthiness was highlighted shortly after its publication, with Popular Mechanics citing it as a source in a story about the Air Force’s “new secret fighter jet”: https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/aviation/a36122339/air-force-secret-new-fighter-jet-concept-art/. Per Popular Mechanics: “The mysterious fighter is part of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program, an Air Force project designed to supplement and eventually replace the F-22 Raptor.”

This project adds to A+S’ extensive experience in publication and graphic design for clients in the private and public sectors. It’s a significant project not just because of the client’s caliber, but also because of the publication’s sheer size and complexity (designed entirely by A+S), and the project’s very dynamic timeline. The project was kicked off during 2020’s end of year holidays, and the A+S team worked nonstop to meet and exceed the Air Force’s aggressive timeline and exacting standards of excellence, all of this during the particularly challenging period that a change of Administration entails.

“We worked tirelessly to expand our government contracting capabilities, with the GSA Schedule being a crucial part of our efforts. We were thrilled to secure our GSA Schedule in 2020 and this amazing project for the U.S. Air Force allows us to showcase our extensive experience and capabilities in the field. We look forward to other potential projects with the Air Force and other government clients where we can show our capabilities, work ethic and passion for what we do,” said Sarimá Gracia, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of A+S IDEAS STUDIO, Inc.

Subject-matter expertise was key in A+S’ ability to deliver the Department of the Air Force Acquisition Biennial Report, to the clients’ great satisfaction. Dustin Gladwell, one of the A+S team members who worked on the piece, is an Army Veteran who served our nation in Afghanistan. In conversations with the Air Force clients during the development of the report, Dustin and the Air Force counterparts had lively discussions about the specific sounds of the various Air Force aircraft in the field of operations.
